The movie seems to be a living picture without narrative structure, but it consist of different gouache paintings, that where created as a diary over the time of 3 months. First, in the beginning, everything is perfect, a exciting life, new people, positive chaos then the euphoric atmosphere fades away, everyday life and problems catch up fear, rumors, callousness and moody behavior decompose everything, leaving just different sized fragments and some dried out paths then you are ready to run again, starting the same thing over and over again, just in different shades and scales. ... more info

Drawdown: the process by which the dominant species in an ecosystem uses up the surrounding resources faster than they can be replaced. Drawdown explores the relationship between man, machine, environment and the culture of greed in the world. Looking at the body as both a polluted system and a vehicle for enlightenment, we see the human form as an evolving machine empty of meaning in and off itself. Laptops & Martini's starts with an evil monster pounding the floor with its hoofs in an attempt to awake the evil side of a little Cyclops. Once under the monster's spell the Cyclops, with the help of a machine gun that turns everything it hits into a copy of himself, sets foot to multiply and destroy the world. still.not.still takes frozen moments in time and transforms them into moving pictures. the role of the movie still is reversed: photographic images are sequenced through a digital video camera and also by a scanning mechanism inside the jitter software environment. images are then composited through a series of delays. the piece was originally designed for an installation on an old admiral tv set. this version is a video recording of the piece played on that tv set with a new soundtrack scored to picture by agf (antye greie), a berlin-based musician.... more info

A camera was mounted to the hood of a truck, pointed down at the pavement and then driven from San Francisco to Oakland on the Bay Bridge. I have long been fascinated by the way light is modulated when moving through this architectural space in a vehicle. I had been waiting for a day like this, when the sky was a clear with good visibility, hard light and sharp shadows. I drove across the bridge, improvising, by seeking out the patterns that were most interesting. The luminosity of this video image was then used to process the volume of the sound of a running motor, which reveals a sonic equivalent of the bridge’s structural rhythm. The point of this piece was to empower people with a quick and easy way to project digital images onto walls. In this case the text written is based off an ancient Tibetan Mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum." Out loud or silently to oneself, this invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of compassion. Viewing the written form of the mantra is said to have the same effect.... more info
