SPACE is a brand new, 900 sq. foot, 74 seat venue on East 14th Street in Manhattan - ideal for theatrical performances, rehearsals, classes, bands, film/video soundstage, meeting space, private parties, film screeings.... whatever your need for space happens to be, we can more-than-likely accommodate you. We even have a fully equipped recording studio adjacent to the theatre.

Why is SPACE?
SPACE's raison d'etre is to provide emerging NYC artists with a professional, yet affordable, venue in which to perform, rehearse, present, teach, and network.
For many today, popular definitions of art are derived via the act of propagation through mainstream outlets. The ever lessening circle of media conglomorates has marginalized and silenced the once outspoken independent artist. We believe that these artists need to be heard again, and that he/she can and should be a driving force in American culture.
SPACE exists to give then give them an opportunity to create their works in a safe environment which supports the spirit of artistic and cultural adventure.
While our main vision is to provide affordable workspace for artists, SPACE is also available for rental to private parties, rehearsals, classes, and events. Call for our rates.
