Description:
The festival is open to all film and videomakers in Alaska and beyond, as well as to any genre of film provided that they are 20 minutes in length or less. Over 00 in prize monies will be awarded at the premiere screening to take place at the Chilkat Center for the Arts in Haines, Alaska in spring 2004 (date TBA). All accepted submissions will be evaluted by a panel of judges using a point system. The deadline for submissions is January 5th, 2004. An entry fee of per submission is required. The festival is sponsored, in part, by the Haines Arts Council and the Alaska State Council on the Arts.
Additional Information:
The Chilkat Center for the Arts in Haines, Alaska houses both an auditorium with a full-size film screen and seating for up to 259, as well as a smaller room for microcinema events which seats up to 60. The Panhandle Picture Show Festival is shown during the spring of alternate years at the center's auditorium.
