Bio:

Roger Beebe has a Ph.D. in Literature from Duke University which now proudly hangs (he thinks) in his parents living room. He also has a B.A. from Amherst college that he believes has suffered some similar fate. He's currently putting his degrees to work as an Assistant Professor of Film and Media Studies at the University of Florida. He has been making films and videos for the better part of a decade now; his past films have shown at McMurdo station in Antarctica as well as locations on several other continents. For two years (1998-2000) he also helmed Flicker, a festival of small gauge film in Chapel Hill, NC and he is currently the director of FLEX, the Florida Experimental Film/Video Festival. In his "spare time," he is also the proprietor of Video Rodeo, Gainesville's only independent/alternative video rental store.
