Bio:

At age 14, Jonnie Ross, a self-taught photographer and sculptor began experimenting with animation. He spent two years in his parent’s basement working on the family PC creating "Inanimate," an 8-minute, animated piece about a dog made of flashlights.
During his senior year at the Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Baltimore, Ross was
encouraged to submit his animated project and two additional short films to the annual Arts
Recognition and Talent Sea rch. For his efforts, he received a gold medal, the title "Presidential
Scholar in the Arts" and a hug from President Clinton. He was the only filmmaker to receive a
medal in 1997. It remains the highest honor a graduating student can achieve in the United States. In the same year, Ross was selected to intern at the Sundance Filmmaker’s Lab and his work was exhibited at Smithsonian’s National Museum of American Art in Washington. He then went on to study at Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design, from which he graduated in 2001. While at Art Center, Ross continued to experiment with film, animation and digital video. His spec reel with a total production cost of $200 caught the attention of fellow filmmakers, as well as major trade publications Boards and Shoot.

Jonnie Ross signed with Tool of North America in May 2002. His work has since been featured
on Shots ("New Directors" September 2002). And he completed the award-winning, music video "Diseases," which has been featured in film festivals all over the world, including NY
Underground Film Festival and London Festival Antenna’s "Most Creative Videos You Won’t
Get To See On MTV."

But his best is yet to come.
