Bio:
ARTIST STATEMENT You are what you eat. The body is my subject and object—I utilize the mediums of film, video and photography to create work that explores the myriad processes of the body. Incorporating fantastical color landscapes, macro photography and stop frame animation, I create works that address issues of identity, gender & sexuality with a playful, irreverent eye. Drawing on the history of feminist film and performance art, my work engages with the darker and more private moments of the contemporary psyche, from the ubiquity of bodily functions to the obsession with the cure.
