Bio:
Ellen Lake received her MFA from Mills College in Oakland, California in 2002, where she studied sculpture, film & video, and installation. She is currently working on a series of experimental documentaries about collecting. Her work has been screened at New Langton Arts, The Exploratorium, Pacific Film Archives, Other Cinema, and San Francisco Art Commission Gallery in the Bay Area, Echo Park Film Center and Midnight Special Bookstore in LA, and The Pioneer Theater in NYC. She is the recipient of the 2005 Bay Area Video Coalition Mediamaker award.
