Bio:
As Performance Coordinator, Richard Miami sources, recommends, books and manages all of the performing arts aspects (music, dance, theater, film, and lecture) for COPIA’s indoor and outdoor theaters and other performance venues. Prior to joining COPIA, Miami was a Wine Educator for Robert Mondavi Winery for three years. He worked at Domaine Chandon for eighteen years as the Director of Special Events where he organized indoor & outdoor concerts, art festivals and was the curator for the winery's art exhibitions. Miami is well known in Wine Country for the Tour Guide Training class, which he originated and taught for twenty years at Napa Valley College. He has also chaired the Entertainment Committee for three Napa Valley Wine Auctions. Miami served as Board member for the Napa Valley Opera House and on the advisory board for the Arts Council of Napa Valley. Miami holds both a BA and a MA in Theater Arts from San Francisco State University. He has a life-long love of film, music and theater. He has directed numerous theatrical productions in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties and served as drama coach for St. Helena High School.
