Bio:
Filmography/Awards Info: 1. Why did you make this film? It was actually made through a class at NYU but grew into something more. 2. How long did it take to make this film? Production was a week but I spent 8 months in post-production. 3. Do you have any "war stories" that you would like to tell us about the making of this film? My favorite war story is from the making of "Baby Kebab." We were shooting in Central Park, NYC at the Bethesda Fountain, which is a large fountain right in the middle of the park. In this shot, after the baby carriage hits the edge of the fountain, the baby flies over the fountain, so we had to pitch the doll over it, and of course it fell in. Nobody else would go in so I took my shoes off and jumped in. I landed on something sharp and my foot started gushing blood. We wrapped it up but I was trying to stay off of it and there are no cabs in Central Park in the middle of the day. So they pushed me out in the baby carriage. 5. What can you tell us about the technology/equipment that you used? 16mm film 7248, edited the old fashioned way, on a flatbed. The sound was done in ProTools. 6. Do you enjoy one aspect of filmmaking more than any others? I prefer post production. 7. In what country or region do you live? Is it important to your art? If so, in what way? Northern California. 8. What does "Microcinema" mean to you? I think of small quicktime movies or RealPlayer on the internet. 9. What does "Independent" mean to you? Marketing. 10. What are a few tips you can give to other filmmakers? Story first. Don't skimp on craft services. 11. Do you have ideas for another film? If so, will you share them with us? I am currently in production of an animated short called "Little Jimmy's Guide to the Apocalypse." It is the story of a Father explaining the Apocalypse to his son. I have twenty people working on it, it's a 3D computer animated short. It should be out by the end of summer. 12. Who is your favorite film director? John Waters. 13. What is your favorite film? Brazil or Terminator. 14. What else would you like to tell us? Buy my film.
