Bio:
Alicia Walsh received a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies at Curtin University in 1986 and has since been working consistently in the film industry, both in WA and NSW. She received a New Screenwriter's grant in 1996 for her first feature film script "The Next Big Thing" and during a break in writing made the short film "Not On The Road" for the Tropicana Film Festival in Sydney. The film went on to win the Tropfest Prize, several other awards and has screened on national television. Her next film "Horn" was not only a finalist again at Tropfest, making it one of 14 from 346 entries, but has also screened around the world in various festivals. She has also directed episodes of the children's TV series "The Gift", plus written episodes of several other national TV shows. Alicia is currently directing her half-hour script "Perfect Pale Blue" for national broadcaster, SBS. She is still working on the elusive first feature film deal.
