Bio:
Gabriel Judet-Weinshelıs work includes a number of music videos, documentaries, and short films and has been shown at the San Francisco International Film Festival, the American Film Institute, New York IFP Market, the Nashville Film Festival, and on Nickelodeon, the Trio Network, Fox, CMT and MTV; and at festivals or television around the world in Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Croatia, Germany, the UK, Canada, and Egypt. Past nominations include a Rockefeller Fellowship and the Sundance Lab. He directed Martin Scorsese in a short piece giving tribute to actor Victor Argo that screened at Lincoln Center. His featurette, The Broken Wings of Elijah Footfalls, was a finalist for the Buzzcuts Award by Sundance Channel, and his most recent short, Facechasers, has been an official selection at over twenty film festivals, winning Best Experimental Film at the Brooklyn Film Festival and selling to Atom Films and Sony. To date, he has directed eight music videos for artists as wide-ranging as Nashville-based country singer Adrienne Young, to Irish favorite Mark Geary, to French art rocker CharlELlie Couture. Gabriel recently completed a one-year tenure as a filmmaker in residence at Mad River Post, directing a series of short live-action and animation content for the commercial company. In July of 2006, he is slated to direct a short with producers Mitch Goldman and Sriram Dass (50 Pills), The Heart is a Hidden Camera, with whom he has two feature scripts in development. He lives in Brooklyn, NY and has no pets except for a papier-mache attack dog.
