Bio:
Shane Acker was born in Wheaton, Illinois in 1971. He studied architecture and worked as a designer for several years before becoming an animator. His first film, "The Hangnail," was completed at the UCLA Animation Workshop, and has screened internationally at both the Animac Film Festival in Spain and the BIAF in Australia. Mr. Acker attended the University of Florida where he received a BA in Architecture in 1994, and UCLA where he received a Masters of Architecture in 1998. He is currently at UCLA pursuing a MFA degree in Animation.
