Bio:
As a club representative in Spain and Greece I developed my interest for media art by conceptualizing, producing and performing comedy shows. Continuing at a Berlin radio station as an internee for the Morning Show, I conducted interviews with celebrities and politicians and became interested in audio editing. This internship led to a position as an online-editor which involved the first relaunch of the station’s website. After these practical experiences I found it was time to back up practice with theory and commenced a BA (Hons) in Media Studies at the University of Teesside/ U.K. which I was awarded first class with honours. I have recently completed my Masters in New Media Arts, specializing in Digital Video, at The Australian National University. During my Masters as well as undergraduate studies I have researched intensively on the representation of history within media. My theses dealt with the dramatization of history within media and asked if it is a misrepresentation, undermining aspects of reality, or if it is an aesthetical necessity. In addition to my studies, I completed an internship at a TV station in Hamburg, worked for a communication company in the U.K. and have continued working on comedy projects (Good Times on Campus + Albert Dorckstein’s Fraternity) at the University of South Carolina/ U.S., where my interest for video art began. I am now working for Google in Ireland.
