Bio:

Tom Stern is uncomfortable with bios. He finds it awkward and depressing to write about a series of non-consecutive events in his life as though these events somehow define him, and furthermore to do so in the third person. That being said, Tom Stern is the director, co-writer, and producer of the feature film THIS IS A BUSINESS. Tom has also directed, produced, and written six short films and a number of plays. His short films (BLUE ME and THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF TOM STERN, CHAPTER SIX: THE NEW SCIENCE) have been programmed in festivals on both coasts (Imagefest, LA Shorts, Independent Exposure 2007), and his stage production of Feiffer's People was performed at The International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Don’t you envy Tom Stern? Tom holds an M.F.A. in Film Production from Chapman University in Orange, California and a B.A. in Philosophy from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
