Bio:
Alvaro Zendejas started learning the basics of analogue audio at 9, editing analogue video at 12 and digital video at 15. His early start helped him gain nationwide attention for a Faux UFO video in a Variety Talkshow in Mexico when he was 18 and by 20 he was already a competent 3D animator and video editor in his area working with distinguished artists, organizations and high profile advertising agencies. By 22 he became one of "Mexico's top independent filmmakers" with his short film L'Instant Avant (Moment Before) which won him the Best Experimental Short Film Prize at the Morelia International Film Festival, the inertia of the recognition took him to Seattle, New York, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Yuma and the short film continues to be seen in Cuba, England, Scottland, Spain, etc.. At 24 He was nominated for the Mexican Academy Award (the Ariel) for his animated short film Sheep Poem, which has garnered him the respect of his hometown and the filmmaking community in Mexico. He is now finishing a live action short film, a period piece.
