Bio:
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Kurosh ValaNejad went to study Computer Graphics at Ohio State University in 1988. Before completing a degree he started to work as a modeler for a land-planning firm in Aspen, Colorado. He later applied his 3D CG skills to other fields including architecture and furniture design, and eventually worked as director of digital imaging at MA Nose Studios, a fine-art studio. He moved to Southern California in 1996 to study digital special-effects. When Summer Falls is his thesis project, completed at Gnomon, School of Visual Effects in Hollywood. He later worked on the Oscar nominated film, Hollowman at Sony Pictures Imageworks, as a senior technical assistant. He is currently working at USC’s Institute for Creative Technology, as a 3D digital artist on SEE, a multi-sensory virtual-reality research project.
