Bio:
(Writer, director, whatever)
David Blumenstein used to sit on the kitchen tiles in his jammies reading the cereal boxes in the pantry. Since then, he has grown and matured, and now prefers boxers.
Born and currently living in Melbourne, Australia, David has been drawing silly cartoons and lewd caricatures all his life, and does not plan to stop any time soon. His comic book, Nakedfella Comics, features many characters he created in high school, including “Slack”, the lead character in Shit Party.
Three years studying a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts left David bored and a bit sleepy. Luckily, in between classes he spent his time working on interesting things like one of the Web's earlier animated Flash serials (1998-99) and the short cartoon Got A Phillips Head? (2000), which screened in the Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema's Streaming Cinema program in Philly and reportedly, Korea.
Thankfully, David scored a place in RMIT University's Graduate Diploma of Animation & Interactive Media (AIM) course in 2001, and this is where he learned the secret magical 'BAM!' skills necessary to make "Shit Party".
David is now working on a new animated film called "Herman, The Legal Labrador", about a doggie defense lawyer.
