Lucy Weismann was born in New York City and graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1998. She is currently in the film production certificate prgram at the New School. Lucy uses the arts to explore and challenge social taboos, especially those of women's blood, birth, sex and ritual. In the Red is her first film.
