Bio:
I am born to a Swedish mother and Iranian father in Iran and later lived in Brazil, though I find myself feeling curiously French. I studied International Relations and Studio Art, but it is in the Media Arts that I invoke the universality of affect. I am born and raised Bahai, and as such, my broad, though intricate, concerns have been that of recognizing differences and difficult resolutions. I grew up speaking more than four languages, natural barriers, which converged and sought out a language without words. The body of my work has emphasized the intimate relationship between images and sound, montages dedicated to my personal mythology, with the intent to be moved in a world with its own rules, metaphoric of resolutions. It is something of a media folklore in as much as I am bestowing the sense of a creative instinct on the vast and isolated land min(d)e in the newly popular tradition of production melding with consumption. I reintroduce temporality in an expression otherwise too purgative in urgency. My future endeavors seek to explore interfaces between the physical and virtual worlds. I would like to work towards realizing the possibilities inherent in emerging and mobile technologies, such as interactive systems and/or Live Experimental Video.
