Bio:
Born in 1975, Erik Rosenlund's major interests have been drawing and telling stories for as long as he can remember. Before becoming a filmmaker, he worked as an illustrator and a maker of comics (which even won him an award in a major Swedish newspaper). Gradually he took a greater interest in animation however, and while learning the craft he produced his first animated short, Hair Now, in his spare time. He believes in learning things yourself by trial and error, rather than formal education, though he later studied two years at the animation department at the Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, in Eksjö, Sweden. The Dark Side of the Morning is his longest and most serious animated film yet. A black comedy that explores the nature of comedy itself.
