Bio:
PRODUCER, WRITER & DIRECTOR - JOEL SADILEK Joel Sadilek is currently producing the feature film, The Tribe, starring Jewel Staite (Serenity & Firefly) and Justin Baldoni (Everwood) to be completed in Fall of 2006. His prior projects include Producer of the feature film, Stalled, which was released into worldwide distribution by Concord/New Horizons. Recently, Mr. Sadilek produced Aimee Price, starring John Savage (The Deerhunter), and Chutzpah, starring George Segal (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woof?) and Gary Oldman (Harry Potter). He also associate produced the feature film, Judge Koan, with Christine Elise (Beverly Hills 90210) and Beth Grant (Rock Star, Pearl Harbor), production supervised the television pilot, Living Straight, directed by Frank Bonner (WKRP in Cincinnati) and starring Lyle Waggoner (Carol Burnett Show), production managed the feature film Jack Satin, starring Robert Guillaume (Benson, Big Fish) and Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch), and produced The Rain Has Forgotten Us. Mr. Sadilek has also held the position of Director of Production at American Film Partners International. Additionally, Mr. Sadilek produced television commercials and promotional spots for MTV, Puma, Basler Insurance (Switzerland) and Beamer, by Vialta, and a concert video for the music group, Black Eyed Peas. Mr. Sadilek is currently in development for the upcoming feature film, Master of the Seventh Seal, and has assisted the development of The Hammer, starring Adam Corolla (Loveline, The Adam Corolla Show), The Last Time, starring Brendan Fraser (Crash), and is also developing two directorial features, Truth or Fiction and Stars Fell on Alabama. In addition to feature work, Mr. Sadilek has written, produced and directed seven short films, including The Summer House (official competition in the Montreal Worldfest “Jury Award”, Clermont-Ferrand, Fajr International {Iran} and over twenty more International Film Festivals), the award winning Bud's Day at the Ballpark and Castro's Day in Los Angeles. He recently finished production of his current directorial endeavor, The Box. Mr. Sadilek's path to filmmaking included jazz drumming, Drum Corps International, and urban and regional planning. He has obtained a B.S in Liberal Arts at the University of Iowa, and has graduated from the University of Colorado with a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning. After six years in the urban design field, Mr. Sadilek attended the Colorado Film and Video Institute. Additionally, he has studied writing and directing with Judith Weston, and at HFI and UCLA.
