Bio:
Chris Spears (Director, Animator, Designer) studied biology at Carnegie Mellon University when he realized that biochemistry was boring, so he switched majors. After graduating with a BA in German and a Minor in Film and Media Studies, Chris returned to his native Oregon, where he studied video production, design, drawing, and illustration on his own and at a local community college. Chris then applied to and was accepted by the California Institute of the Arts, where he received a MFA in Experimental Animation. famous crimes of passion was completed at Cal Arts as his thesis film.
