Bio:
Vick Wang, the Animation Director and co-founder of Diginoise Media Lab, is an acclaimed CGI director and VFX supervisor. He developed his technical and artistic expertise working in the international CGI film and commercial production scene, collaborating with many production companies in Sydney, New York and Tokyo. He has made several 3D CGI animation shorts, one of which is the award-winning Wonder. His work has been shown in Siggraph 97, as well as New York Digital Salon ‘96 and ‘97. Most recently, he was recognized for his distinguished work as the VFX director on Columbia Asia’s Double Vision. A story about hope and a little patch-geared robot in a Blade Runner-esque landscape, NOBO has been recognized for its unprecedented, pioneering animation style. Spawning from a country known for its very traditional animation work, impressed international producers are asking “Was this really made in Taiwan?” The trailer was so hot, it won a Taiwan Digital Content Award and debuted at MIPCOM 2002 in Cannes, the London-based onedotzero festival and Taiwan International Animation Festival. Animated in Maya, composited in Inferno, edited on Final Cut Pro, with music produced on ProTools, NOBO has been praised by CGI artists, filmmakers, and designers for it’s high-quality 3D animation work and technical brilliance.
