Bio:

Kathlyn Albright is a filmmaker and video artist originally from San Diego, California. She has worked in the film industry in one capacity or another since her move to Seattle, Washington in 1986. Highlights of her film career include opening and managing the Pickford Cinema, Bellingham, Washington’s only independent movie house; extensive work with the Seattle International Film Festival and the Women In Cinema Festival; and the founding of Stopworks, a local media arts collective. Albright has also written, produced and directed several short films, including My Way Is Right, a semi-autobiographical piece that has shown at Seattle’s One Reel Film Festival and at the Palm Springs Festival of Short Films. My Way is Right was also recently shown on Seattle’s NBC affiliate as part of the ArtSpots initiative dedicated to creating and broadcasting media art using commercial television slots as a gallery. She is currently working on a documentary piece about women's body issues to be shown as part of a multi-media show, bodyBODY, opening in Seattle in August of 2003.
