"This is a collection of 9 short animations of Jim Woodring's "Frank" made by 8 different animation filmmakers. The stories are taken from the Frank comic. Each piece is a collaboration between Jim, the filmmaker, and musicians from Japan and the USA. 3DCG, paper craft animation, clay animation, iron sand animation, 2D. . . the production method varies, but the original and imaginative expressions that help to re-present the world of ""Frank"" seen through each filmmaker's eyes are mutual qualities shared between all works. For each animation, you are able to choose between the original music and the newly composed
music by other musicians. Participating musicians include: Bill Frisell, James McNew (from Yo La Tengo), The Coctails, Dame Darcy, Kicell, Milk Yabe, etc. Comes with 16 P booklet with Frank comic and introduction of the animators/musicians.
