“My friends commented continuously on humanity; he didn’t think they were much. I didn’t argue”. -Charles Bukowski
The voice of Charles Bukowski pensively and slowly recollecting, is heard as a backdrop to the passing beams of the Queensboro Bridge. The blue sky, seen through the massive steel structure, impassively reminds us of the real world that exists outside of our technological society. Progress is seen as nothing more than that what it appears to be: the bars of a prison, “the inescapable technology that mediates between individuals and nature, ultimately abolishing both” -John Zerzan.
