Vampire twins, the Dancing Durgee-Du’s, lure Gladdie, an androgynous creature, to a mysterious plant, which is unearthed through the ritualistic sacrifice of a famished canine. Inspired by myths of the mandrake plant, transformation of plant and creature unfold in this 2D/3D hand painted computer animation. The work evolved through exploration of the relationships of ecological systems of self-sustainment and the often bizarre interactions found in nature and proposed in literature and theory.
