Statement:
The film was conceived a long time ago in a little script class in Peru. Originally I planned it to be a
parody about the social determinism in Peru, but later, the story acquired a different flavor when I arrived in New York City and I could add the isolated "immigrant" circumstance. The Indian community was chosen almost randomly, although it is true that they share a certain cast determinism, and only after you die and are born again several times, you will have a better chance in life.
Baddi himself is almost dead inside, but wants to be alive and to connect in some way to another human being. You may dislike him, and the deranged manner in which he attempts to achieve his goal, but you can't help feeling a certain amount of empathy for him in his quest to save himself from the emptiness and death that surrounds him.
