Coda

A single violent incident becomes an apocalyptic catalyst in the lives of five prep school boys, disfiguring each emotionally. The incident also serves as the springboard for the unorthodox fragmented structure - developed not as a single narrative axis, but instead, like an orchestral score - with different parts of the same story radiating out of a single point. The “Coda” of the title, is, in music, a final passage bringing a composition to a definite, formal close. In this film, the “coda” occurs not at the end, but at the beginning of the film – and serves as both the catalyst and the resolution.
