The complete series (seven episodes) of 'Waterlanders' (Waterworks'), by the Berlin-based animator M.I. De Heer. De Heer creates hybrid, episodic shorts in which he combines animation with photography or video. Most of his stories are slightly unsettling and display a dark sense of humor (see also 'All Things New' in SubmarineChannel's 'Chunks' program). But in this series of "best-case scenarios", De Heer's characters experience a rare conjunction of positive circumstances that puts them in a state of utter euphoria with some rather striking consequences
