Mon Amour Mon Parapluie is inspired by black and white French photography of the 1920-40’s. The film tells the story of a young woman’s quest to retrieve her lost umbrella, a symbol of her loss of shelter. Presented as visual poetry, the film contains minimal dialogue, drawing instead on strong visual imagery and music to convey a sense of vulnerability and the acceptance of loss.
